Interest in non-drug methods of treatment has always been. However, recently the number of people who prefer to treat various ailments without the help of drugs has increased significantly. Along with other methods of healing and treatment, massage is very popular.

Massage affects not only the surface tissues, but also on the internal organs of a person. This is a very effective and, most importantly, affordable treatment method that accelerates the adaptation of all body systems to physical activity and not always favorable environmental effects.

Of course, recently appeared means for massage without the help of a person, for example, the so-called massage chairs. But, according to experts, they will not compete with manual massage. The effect of human exposure and special equipment are incomparable, although it would seem that the latter has more massage options and options. As the masseurs themselves say, when working with a person, the client receives not only physical, but also bioenergetic effects, which have a truly miraculous effect. In any case, the demand for good massage specialists has always been and will be. As well as courses for their training.

What is going on in such schools? A practical course of study specializing in “classic massage” includes studying the principles of the physiological effect of massage on the human body, methods and techniques of classical, connective tissue, children’s, linear, instrumental, hardware and other types of massage. Classes at such courses are conducted by experienced teachers and experienced doctors.

What is needed in order to open massage courses? First of all, it is advisable to be an experienced specialist in this field yourself. Even if you are not going to teach yourself, you should have an idea of the specifics of work in this area.

Before you start searching for premises and teachers, do a little marketing research in your city. Find out if there are similar facilities here (many centers of additional education and medical facilities offer, including a massage training course), whether there is a high demand for their services, how much training costs, and whether there are good masseurs in your city. If there are no separate specialized schools in your city, but the competition is generally high, do not despair. Narrower courses can compete successfully with them.

The key to success of your company is qualified teachers. After all, even the presence of a certificate is not so important here as the knowledge that your graduates will receive. If you yourself cannot evaluate the qualifications, seek the help of a specialist who will take care of staff recruitment. Good massage therapists should constantly practice, therefore, most likely, the teachers of your massage courses will conduct classes in their free time from their main work. Conduct a survey among your potential customers and determine the most convenient time for them.

Most centers of further education conduct classes on weekdays in the evening and on weekends in the afternoon. You can work all day, as many who want to learn massage can and want to attend classes during the day (for example, mothers who sit at home with their children). The course itself, as a rule, is quite short: 2-3 days a week for four academic hours per day (one academic hour is 40 minutes). At the same time, only 20-25 academic hours are theory, and the remaining 140 hours is practice, including about 25-30 hours of self-study. Morning groups work from 9 am to 12 noon. In the daytime, you can make two more separate groups: from 12 to 15 hours and from 15 to 18 hours. After six, the last — evening — group gathers. The total training period rarely exceeds 3-6 months. With maximum workload (four groups per day) you will need 3-4 teachers. At first, one or two is enough. In addition, many massage courses offer their clients individual lessons with a visit to the client or in their center.

The room where your establishment will be located also matters. It should be spacious enough. One group consists of at least 5-6 people. A small room is enough to accommodate so many listeners. However, for practical training, a larger area is required. In this case, it is desirable that your school is located in the city center or within a few minutes drive from it. Then your students will not spend much time on the road. The atmosphere in your office and classrooms also matters. Perhaps soft rugs and aroma lamps are superfluous. But still, the massage requires a special atmosphere. Do not spare money for repairs, if necessary. In addition, you will need furniture (tables, chairs, cabinets for clothes and equipment), office equipment, teaching materials.

The issue of registration of a legal entity deserves special attention. If you are going to train people with the subsequent issuance of a diploma of the established form, you will need to register your company as a non-governmental educational institution (LEU). The cost of its registration is about 15-18 thousand rubles. In addition, you are not entitled to carry out your activities without a license for educational activities. This license is granted indefinitely.

Licensing of institutions of additional professional education (advanced training) of specialists will cost about 50 thousand rubles. At the end of such courses, students, depending on whether they have a higher medical education or not, receive certificates or certificates. Both of these documents are taken into account when applying for a job, although evidence, of course, is valued higher.

If you do not set a goal to train massage therapists for further work in this area, but simply introduce everyone to the basic massage techniques “for yourself”, in this case you can register as an individual entrepreneur. True, your graduates will not receive any documents on the training, and the demand for such courses is much lower.

Then you will need to develop a training program. For starters, a few basic courses are enough. As a rule, they include classic, professional, oriental types of massages, facial massage. In the future, you can expand the number of programs offered (for example, “anti-cellulite massage”, “baby massage”, etc.). Do not forget to take contact information from your graduates (with their consent, of course): phone numbers for SMS mailings, email addresses. So you can notify them of new courses, lectures and seminars at your school.

You can search for the first customers by posting ads in newspapers and magazines, on radio and television, on local sites and forums. Your own website, on which you can describe in detail the programs of the courses offered, introduce your teachers, give your contacts and answer questions of potential clients, will not hurt. The advertising budget for the first three months of operation will be at least 100-120 thousand rubles (excluding the creation of the site). In the future, your former customers will themselves recommend you to their friends and acquaintances. Such recommendations will provide you with new students with virtually no advertising costs.

To open a massage course you will need a minimum of 500 thousand rubles. The cost of the lesson depends on the region. So, in small cities, the full course will cost 10-15 thousand rubles, and individual lessons - 20-25 thousand rubles. The payback period of this type of business is about a year.
