This project brought to life two problems that motorists face:

  • completely wild lines forming near the tire workshop in the season of “changing shoes” of cars,
  • traffic jams that turn a trip from the center into an industrial zone or a remote sleeping area (where tire-makers are used to deploying) into a long, unpleasant journey.

As you can see, for someone the problem is just a problem that eats nerves and thins life optimism, and for someone it's just a good reason to think and come up with a brilliant idea that will bring joy to those who came up with it and those for whom she invented.

The main tidbit of all "tire changers" is of course a corporate client who has a fleet of several cars. So that the owners of huge fleets do not create queues, the service “changing tires in your home” was invented for the first time for them.

At first, as soon as this business, or rather this niche, just appeared, entrepreneurs set prices as much as two, or even three times higher than tire repairs in their workshop. But then they thought better of it, the market became civilized, and now the prices are almost equal.

Extra money is taken only for the "departure of the master" (for gasoline), and even then - if you order to change tires on more than three cars, the departure becomes already free.

At the start from scratch, you need to invest 20 thousand euros in this business. This money will pay off in two years of work.

According to the peculiarities of the organization, mobile tire fitting is no different from a stationary one. The only additional equipment that you need is a minibus (with a cargo area of ​​at least 13 sq. M), in which everything necessary for the procedure for working with tires will be installed:

  • tire fitting
  • balancing
  • and repair equipment itself.

Market players prefer minibuses of the Mercedes Sprinter and Iveco Daily brands.

One such new minibus can be bought at a price of 30 thousand euros to 35 thousand. A used bus can also be bought for 8 thousand euros.

In addition, you will need an electric generator with a capacity of at least 5 kW. It can be bought at a price of 1 thousand euros.

Among other things, you still need a heated garage.

What equipment do you need in principle?

Let's talk a little about the equipment that is common both for stationary tire service and for traveling. The main tire fitting equipment is:

  • tire stand from 1 to 7 thousand euros, the best manufacturers, Italians: Sicam, M&B engineering,
  • balancing stand from 2 to 5 thousand euros.
  • compressor for tire changer and wheel inflation, pressure from 7 bar. Well-established manufacturers: Dary (Italy), Remeza (Belarus), Miol (China). It costs a compressor from 600 to 1 thousand euros.
  • rolling jack (pneumatic or hydraulic), costing from 200 to 2 thousand euros.
  • Other tools and supplies for the first time (1 thousand euros at the start)
  • vulcanizer, an average cost of 400 to 600 euros. (The vulcanizer is needed not for tire fitting, but in order to provide additional services in assortment and earn extra money)

You can buy Chinese equipment, players in this market are recognized, then, for example, each stand (balancing and mounting) will cost you 1 thousand euros per stand.

However, the same market players do not advise saving on a balancing stand, since many cheap models, in fact, have a too high error, which differs from the permissible error that is indicated on their paper in their own documentation.

Mobile tire service: staff needed

Please note that you will work seasonally-emergency. To do this, you will need two teams that will work in shifts. Off-site tire fitting is a service that should work around the clock.

Based on this, you will need:

four tire men (working in pairs in two shifts)

and two drivers.

Market players advise, however, to save on a driver, the functions of which one of the tire service men, working in tandem with another, in a shift team, can easily take over.

Mobile tire service: Advertising

There are several ways of well-established advertising of a retirement tire company:

  • pasting the sides of your own minibus by advertising,
  • website creation and promotion,
  • distribution of flyers and business cards in places of motorists' congestion,
  • on foot "bypass" of those legal entities that have their own large fleets by the nature of their activity. Firms with many machines need to offer long-term contracts on mutually beneficial conditions.

When opening your own tire repair shop on the road, remember the hottest season - the autumn-winter season, which lasts 30-35 days according to the observations of players from October to November.

It is at this time that you will work around the clock, luring customers to yourself from long lines in ordinary tire shops.
